Anastasia Rickard is a Laboratory Technician, Researcher, Designer, and Traditional Māori weaver.

She loves the synergies between science, inheritance, and the natural world and enjoys being able to use her talents to incorporate traditional practices, her multicultural heritage and technologies, gaining a deeper understanding of the world around her in the process.

HARAKEKE EARRING CREATION WORKSHOP

Tikanga around Raranga.
Creation of Hukahuka Strand (Leaf prep + marking + fibre extraction + miro technique. Dependant on participants capability and time constraints). Will be demonstrated live by Anastasia.
Learn earring making techniques and construction a unique pair of earrings.
Harakeke earrings will vary depending on feathers available in the workshop.
Completion of Harakeke Earrings, by the end of the workshop
